Background:
Formed in 1948 Redditch Photographic Society exists to further members interests in all aspects of photography. New or prospective members are welcome to attend any of our seasonal meetings as outlined in our events page and calendar, regardless of your skill level.
Membership:
- We are a member of and supported by AIR – Arts In Redditch
We are a member of the Midland Counties Photographic Federation (MCPF).
Activities:
Our activities are designed to both inform and entertain members with the purpose of bringing together people with an interest in photography, regardless of skill level or equipment.
Our seasonal club evenings (September to May) cover a wide range of activities including workshops, practical evenings, club competitions and assignments, presentations by members and highly esteemed touring speakers delivering inspiring talks on a wide range of photographic subjects.
During the club season we participate in three inter-club competitions with other local societies. We also encourage members to enter external competitions or gain accreditation for their photographic skills with experienced club members on hand to offer advice and guidance.
There is no pressure to enter competitions, you are more than welcome to come along and simply enjoy the photography of others whilst learning new skills and techniques.
Our season concludes with a relaxed Annual Dinner and Awards evening in May.
Our portfolios cover a wide range of subjects; Landscape, Wildlife, Portraiture, Still Life, Travel and Macro photography to name just a few.
We also have a fortnightly summer season (May to August) encouraging club members to meet at locations around the area to take images and to meet socially. Details of these events can also be found on our events page and calendar.
Our Location:
Face to Face meetings are due to resume on the 15 February 2022 from 8.00 pm to 10.00 pm. Members are requested to bring their own soft drinks with them.

Membership and Subscriptions:
Annual subscriptions are payable in January each year (pro rata if you join during the season) with fees as below:
Adults (single) £30
Adults (couples) £26.50 each
Pensioner (single) £28.50
Pensioner (couples) £25 each
Student/unemployed £24
There is a weekly charge in addition to annual subscriptions of £2.50 when you attend a meeting.
Prospective members are welcome to attend for two ‘taster’ sessions without charge and with no commitment. Charges may also be applied for certain keynote events.
